The Causality Assessment method, henceforth referred to as 'the
Method,' is an innovative experimental scoring algorithm
developed to support the diagnosis of idiosyncratic herb-induced
liver injury (HILI). Designed with a focus on user accessibility,
the Method minimizes the need for subjective analysis and
specialized expertise, ensuring a high level of inter-rater
reliability.
Notwithstanding its design features, users
are hereby explicitly cautioned that the Method is not intended, nor
should it be construed, as a standalone diagnostic tool. The Method
does not supplant the need for sound clinical judgment and should be
utilized solely as a supplementary aid in the diagnostic process for
HILI. All results derived from the application of the Method must be
interpreted with due caution and in conjunction with other relevant
clinical data and diagnostic methodologies.
Users of the
Method assume full responsibility for its appropriate application
and integration within their broader diagnostic framework. The
Method is provided on an "as is" and "as
available" basis, without any warranties or representations,
express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of
merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or
non-infringement of proprietary rights. The creators, developers,
and providers of the Method expressly disclaim any and all liability
for any damages, whether direct, indirect, incidental,
consequential, or otherwise, arising from or in any way connected
with the use or misuse of the Method.
Users are obligated
to ensure they are utilizing the most current version of the Method,
as periodic updates may be released to enhance its accuracy,
functionality, or to address any identified limitations. While the
Method is designed to be user-friendly, users are strongly
encouraged to undergo appropriate training and familiarize
themselves thoroughly with its proper application and inherent
limitations prior to implementing it in clinical practice.
The
Method may be employed for research purposes, subject to proper
attribution in any resulting publications, presentations, or other
forms of dissemination. Users are encouraged to provide feedback
regarding their experiences with the Method to facilitate its
ongoing refinement and improvement. It draws inspiration from
established assessment methodologies, including but not limited to
RUCAM, M&V, and Naranjo Scales.
By utilizing the
Method, users acknowledge and agree that they have read, understood,
and consented to be bound by these Terms of Use. Users further agree
to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the creators, developers,
and providers of the Method from and against any claims,
liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without
limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or
in any way connected with their use or misuse of the Method.
These
Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with
the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Method was developed,
without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute
arising from or relating to these Terms of Use or the use of the
Method shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts
in that jurisdiction.
The creators and providers of the
Method reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Method
or these Terms of Use at any time without prior notice. It is the
user's responsibility to review these Terms of Use periodically
for changes. Continued use of the Method following the posting of
any changes to these Terms of Use constitutes acceptance of those
changes.
If any provision of these Terms of Use is found
to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall
remain in full force and effect. The failure of the creators or
providers of the Method to enforce any right or provision of these
Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of such right or
provision.
By accessing or using the Method, you
represent and warrant that you are of legal age to form a binding
contract and that you have the authority to agree to and accept
these Terms of Use. If you do not meet all of these requirements,
you must not access or use the Method.
